On Friday 12th September, I hosted the latest roundtable discussion on Palliative and End of Life Care in Kirklees, joined by Gareth Pierce, CEO of Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, Michael Crowther, CEO of The Kirkwood, and a wide range of local stakeholders.
Our conversation built on the first roundtable I hosted earlier this year, focusing on the urgent challenges hospices face and how we can work alongside the NHS-10 year plan to secure sustainable, long-term funding and resources.
Our hospices provide a lifeline for so many families in Huddersfield and across Kirklees. As your local MP, I am determined to continue working with our local hospices to ensure they have the certainty and support they need to plan for the future.
